How many sessions will I need?

It is difficult to say at the outset how many sessions will be required, this is very much related to individual situations and the presenting issue.  You may however opt out of our arrangement at any time without obligation.

How often should sessions be scheduled?

Sessions are usually weekly to begin with to facilitate building the therapeutic relationship and establishing trust. Thereafter, they can be scheduled to meet your individual circumstances and preferences.

How long does a session last?

Each session lasts from 50-60 minutes for individual therapy and 75-90 minutes for couples therapy starting from your appointed time

Fees

My fee for individual therapy sessions is €60 and couples therapy sessions is €80. Payment is made at the end of each session.

The number of sessions required is on a case by case basis.

How are sessions paid for?

Sessions are paid for at the end of each session. Payment can be made by cash or cheque.

When are appointments available?

Weekday and evening appointments are available. Saturday appointments are made available as an exception. However, every effort is made to accommodate appointment preferences.

Will my sessions be confidential?

Confidentiality is the cornerstone of the counselling relationship and as such, is given a high priority with only a few exceptions applying, these are explained at your initial session.

What if I need to cancel a session?

There is no problem if you need to cancel a session. I simply ask that you give 48 hours’ notice so I can open up the appointment to other clients. Failure to give sufficient notice will result in the full fee falling due.
